This moring Nanner was at 177. No shot this morning right? I'm pretty sure from some of the posts here, and what I remember from Flash(ga) that 200 is the cut off for a shot. He got 3 crunch and cleans, and canned Friskies, the ground chicken type.

Nanner doesn't like getting tested, but we are working it out. For some reason he really hates having the test strip put to his ear, so this morning I just got the drop of blood on my fingernail and the test strip from there.

We'll we where we are this evening.

Right, 200 is the no shoot number for Prozinc. Especially if you've removed the dry food.

Good that you got the drop of blood on your finger nail to make testing easier for Nanner.

You're doing great.

I agree, you don't know enough about Nanner to shoot under 200 plus you are in the process of changing his diet. Is he as wonderful as he looks in his photo?

Are your needles u40 or u100? With PZI - If you have u100's you can draw minuscule amounts - down to .1 which to me seemed like 5-6 drops. Which I did for Maisey. But with food change, you are probably still fine with no shoot under 200 rule.

Thank you all!

Nanner is a really nice cat, very friendly and pretty easygoing.

Right now we are using U40 syringes, but I'll keep that in mind about the U100's. The shelter has a lot of U100's, and if he ends up needing just a small amount that might be easier.
