A few months ago Myrtle's blood test showed that she was borderline CKD so we have had a couple of blood tests since to see if it is progressing but the good news is that she is fairly stable. We went for the latest blood test on Saturday and the thing is, pre vet visit she seemed happy and healthy - she does get REALLY stressed by the car trip and the visit but usually gets over it fairly quickly. On Saturday, the vet had trouble getting blood out of her so took her out the back and she (Myrtle) also has a couple of inflammed teeth so will need a dental. Since coming home from the vet though she has little appetite - will start eating her regular food then stop but will eat it if I mix tuna with it - I wasn't too worried about this but last night she kept getting up off the bed and then would come back over and over, this morning she came back to bed around 5am and kept grooming herself and then went to lie down by herself in the corner of the room (really unusual - usually she sticks to my side all night long). It was a little warmer last night as the days are heating up but not so warm that she would want be far from me.
I'm wondering if when the vet touched her inflammed teeth that it caused pain that hasn't gone away? and I'm wondering if she needs antibiotics. Are antibiotics bad for diabetic cats in remission? This morning I tested her BG and it was 7.5 (135), I'm not sure if this is usual for her as I usually test her 3-4 hours after eating and, as the vet said, if she's low at 3-4hrs then she doesn't need insulin as her pancreas is working - and she has been in good numbers (I'll re-test at 3-4 hrs again today as I'm home). The only other thing is that I did a spot on treatment on Monday (Revolution) but I don't ever remember her having this kind of reaction.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated, thanks for your help as always.

She had a big poop after I posted and I thought maybe she had just had a tummy ache after all but at 3.5 hours after eating, Myrtle's bg has hardly changed - it's 7.4 (133) now compared to the usual 4.7-4.9 (84-88) at this time of the day. I've put a phone call in to the vet to see if he thinks that touching those inflamed teeth the other day could have caused pain/infection that is causing her bg to rise and if he thinks a round of antibiotics will be worth trying. (Her bg was just 4.7 - 84 the day before the vet visit!). I just want to cry, I don't think I can handle Myrtle with diabetes again as my mum had a heart attack followed by a bout of pneumonia in the last few months and the word "exhausted" doesn't even begin to cover how I'm feeling.
