Yesterday I lost my heart cat :( My heart is breaking,18 years ago I watched him being born and never thought I would have to say goodbye.....seven years ago I found this site when Ted was diagnosed with diabetes.He was on insulin for a short time and stayed off the juice.It has been a while since I have been on this board,but I still know some of you.And you guys were a huge support for us just learning how to deal with this...I thank you.It gave me seven more wonderful years with my sweet boy when all I felt I had left was sadness and an overwhelming sense of panic as a newbie.....Teddy's health has been failing for a few months and I told him to tell me when he was tired....He went peacefully in my arms as my tears fell.I wish I had him for one more day,just one more snuggle and to once more wake up with him in the crook of my arm.I will love you always and forever my sweet sweet Teddybear

I thank you for all your help,for all your support and hugs...Please hug your babies a little tighter tonight.
 
What a great job you did in managing his diabetes for that long. And I admire you for hearing his most important message to you and helping him one last time. It takes real courage. I'm sad for you but know that he is safely snuggled in your heart.
 
Yes, I understand the wish for one more day .... you did everything you could do, and more. The pain is hard, the loss never goes away. BUT you gave him your love for 18 years and it sounds as if he returned that love, how lucky you are. He will snuggle in your heart forever .... remember the good times.

I always love each one of my babies daily, well the fish not so much but my dogs and cats, yes big hugs, big I love you. But with the knowledge I will lose each one in time ..... that is the hard part.

Your were a great bean! how wonderful to experience such love!

We're sending prayers & support your way. I know there's not much I can say to ease the pain right now, but I do know that time can be your friend. I also believe our babies never totally leave us & come back to visit. So, if you feel like something jumped on the bed at night, but nothing's there, chances are it's your baby. Talk to him.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I will keep you and Teddybear in my prayers. 18 years is fantastic. You really took great care of your fur baby! Our cats bring us such love and it is so very hard to let them go.
 
As much pain as you are in today...18 years is a celebration of enduring love. You have my heart. Fly free dear Teddy, land ever so softly back to the heart that loved you best,

I am so sorry. Hugs to you and kudos for taking such wonderful care of your beloved friend. Eighteen years is such a testament to your wonderful care and yet I know it is not nearly long enough. Know that you will see Teddy again at the Bridge some day.
 
Thank you all for your kind words....It is hard knowing he isn't here.I held a piece of turkey down at dinner tonight and realized he wasn't there.Our other kitty is looking for him.She seems depressed :( Can anyone guide me on how to size a picture?I can't seem to figure it out...Again,thank you ...

I know what you mean about holding the treat down and finding no one there to take it ... :( Depending on what sort of system you are on you can either right click to open the properties of the pic or on my laptop (a Mac) you can choose "Save As" and select a value for the jpg.

Yes, I got it! Just sent you back a few re-sized pics.

Let me know if they are still too big and I can reduce them further. Teddy = VERY HANDSOME
