Yesterday, my Tonkinese kitty, Gabriel, was diagnosed with steriod mediated diabetes. He was also diagnosed with asthma over 2 years ago and began utilizing an AeroKat puffer 2 months ago. The last several days he has battled an upper respiratory infection and with the diabetic diagnoses yesterday, he was weak and so unsteady. I posted in the evening on FAIM (asthma site) for help and within 2 hours of doing so my precious boy had an acute incident and passed away in my arms. I had given him his first dose of Lantus and was very excited for his recovery. Another member of the asthma site referred me to your group and I was really looking forward to sharing and exchanging information and experiences with you as I have with them, but will now never have the chance. Today is unquestionably the saddest day of my life, Gabriel was my soul mate the past 13 years and there is no end to the tears and pain. Just wanted to thank all of you for this great site and all the help and support you give so many who struggle to help their friends through tough times. Please keep my baby in your thoughts and prayers, I know he's crossing the Rainbow Bridge today, free and in heaven.

With much thanks,

Laura
