I bought a freash Pen from a earth angel a few weeks back and I have had success with it! 4 days ago I read 195 on her glucose meter then the next day 138. Wooooooohhhooooo! :mrgreen: Its at 1 1/2 units now. I am going to keep it there for a while till I get her dosing up on food and tighter schedule. Not being on working insulin for so long her schedules been pretty relaxed. I will probably up her dose a touch (half of a half a unit... what I've been doing...) on Monday or tuesday after I do a curve. She feels so good now. She is gaining weight and her little bones, like her foot is even heavier! Yay! her body is getting the nutrition it needs! And she's happy! She's gettin up and goen outside, it's great! Unlike when she was on Lantus. Poor girl was so miserable. Not no more now she's on levimir.

:smile: Thanks to all for all your advise and help! :!:

Glad to hear she is feeling so much better...I know Lev was the magic bullet for Musette as well, she just wasn't a happy girl on Lantus while on lev she is happy and frisky. :)

:mrgreen: Yea! <3

**Movie drama moment--- I just love you guys all so much!!** XD hehe
Thanks to you all for your patients with me and explainen stuff, it would not of been possible <3 ---> Lol she's tring to get up on my chair now but cant find a way lol! Wow, a kittie again :smile:

Gotta love it when they act like kittens again. So glad you got some good insulin into her. Don't be too fast on the dose increases. When was the 138? At PS? Don't change the dose until you do a curve and check the nadir.

Sound like you have a happy girl!

The 138 was before I feed her at mid point. (I have been feeding her before her midpoint. That day she slept through her feeding so I got a good no food reading :) I dont think Im going to raise it. At least again for a while till I can get a better tight schedule down. I will have time to do a full curve this week.
I keep looking for the "LIKE" button on peoples posts that I read... then I remember it doesnt have that, only facebook does. lol

Ok - 138 around midpoint is good. She will probably settle more on this dose so it's good to hold it until you can get a curve done (unless you see a really low number, reductions sometimes can't wait for a curve).

Yeah, the "like" button on FB is probably one of the most overused features in modern culture. We never went around saying, "I like that" to everything we heard spoken around us. Seems truly odd to do it with written words. I can sort of see "liking" a movie or book or restaurant and that gives a quick tally for the producers, etc., but in many ways we rely too much on other people's opinions and don't form our own - like exit polls during elections. Who cares? People should not vote based on popularity.

OK, sorry, you got me started! :roll:

Lol, I just saw a post on facebook today that said "Must we have a constant "Like" "Dislike" reaction to everything in life?" So fitting for this subject. :D

Yea I see some people posting stuff that people will "like" and it can be so silly like "I have to go to the bathroom" Lol.

To each there own though I guess... I love to support people who post stuff from there heart. If it helps me I'll "Like" it. It's just my way of saying Thank you! :-D
I think it would be very sad if no one ever liked anything you shared with the world, and for me Facebook is no exception.

hehe Here are some of the things I liked today- :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do
are in harmony."
"Sometimes its easy to lose faith in people. And sometimes, one act of kindness is all it takes to give you hope again...."
"Each person alive helps paint the living picture of civilization as it exists at any given time, in your terms. Be your own best artist. Your thoughts, feelings, and expectations are like the living brush strokes with which you paint your corner of life’s landscape.
If you do your best in your own life, then you are indeed helping to improve the quality of all life."
"Have faith in yourself, including your gut feelings, dreams, and desires. Let down your guard, relax, and enjoy the playground of life."
"Don't Take Anything Personally. Nothing others do is because
of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own
reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions
and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless
suffering."
"RE-ENERGIZE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS! Remember to maintain a 'healthy balance' in ALL relationships, as well as spending 'quality time' together, it's equally important to have Your own 'Sacred Space' times when You individually do Your own things, follow Your own interests, and take time out on Your own. Try it and see, how absence really does make the heart grow fonder ♥"
