My Gilbert has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge

Sad to report that my wonderful baby boy Gilbert has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. He was just so sick & very tired. I prayed for God to give me a sign & he did. My Mom's birthday is today & she is in heaven. God overwhelmed me right before we reached the vet's office & said "she will take care of him now." I also knew when I looked into those beautiful eyes that it was time. I am heartbroken & so is his bubby Pete. Crying myself to sleep is in the very near future.
 
I am so very sorry to hear that he is gone. Will light a candle to help him on his way

I am so very sorry, Christy. You are right....your Mom will take wonderful care of Gilbert until all of you can be together again. You and Angel Gilbert remain in our prayers....
 
I am so sorry to hear this. You, Pete, and Gilbert are in my thoughts. Sending you guys comforting prayers. Through all the sadness and tears, please try to take comfort in knowing that Gilbert is no longer sick and tired. He is not alone, your mom and Gilbert will take care of each other.

Oh Christy I am so, so sorry to read this. I was so hoping to read another "miracle story" that we see from time to time. I am happy that you got to see him and look into his eyes and "know" for sure. My heart and prayers go out to you.

I am so sorry to see your baby Gilbert has passed. My mom passed away last year. I would like to think she has all my babies that have passed there with her. Again so sorry.

So sorry to hear of Gilberts passing but you did what was best for him. That's always the hardest decision to make, but it's also the last "gift" we can give them...a peaceful release from a body that isn't working anymore.

Chris & China, That Fable is so true! We do choose tears.

Thank you to everyone! It is comforting to know that so many care & are going through or have been through this.

Know that Gilbert is at The Bridge where he is happy and healthy and playing in the meadows with a bunch of other cats, where the weather is purrfect and there are crickets and grasshoppers and birdies and butterflies and all kinds of things to chase and keep him occupied until he can be reunited with you one day.

Christy, I'm so so sorry, that it was Gilbert's time. I'm sure he was met by your mom, and she is holding him tight, for you.

I am so sorry to hear this Christy. I'm crying as I read this. Little Gilbert is in a better place now though, no illness, only peace. wings_cat
 
Dear Christy,
We share your grief and your tears. Always remember that Gilbert was ready to depart for the Bridge and that he knows how much he is loved. Our GAs will welcome him and he will run and play in the meadows, free from pain. Your mom already holds him in her arms, as you will always hold him in your heart.
