my cat has been taking predicilone for IBS and it appears has developed diabetes through taking this. We took her to the vets yesterday as she had blood in her urine. The vet did a urine test which showed sugar in the urine. The vet told us this was most likely diabetes and she is having blood tests tomorrow. The vet then told me that because she is on preds she will not be able to have insulin as well. He more or less told me there is nothing they can do for her. Does anybody have any advice on what I can do. I would be very greatful as I am really worried. Thank you

Thank you very much for ur help. She only eats WD low fat food which is what I was told I could only feed her because of her IBD. We also have wd prescription diet dry food. Should I stop that?

I would. Dry food is typically significantly higher in carb than wet food.
