Hello! My name is Becca, and I'm here because my 14 yo cat Sox was diagnosed with diabetes two months ago and it has been a struggle to say the least! Hoping to find some support/guidance in his treatment!

What insulin and dose is he on? What food is he eating? Last question...are you home testing?

It's a pretty long story but after an episode of hypoglycemia which landed him in the hospital his doses are in transition. Up to that point he was on 6 units of vetsulin. After a week of being off insulin after getting out of the hospital we are starting over at 1 unit of vetsulin as of today. We test at home and have an AlphaTrak2 meter. He eats Science Diet canned food, which I just found out is way too high in carbohydrates, so we will have to switch soon.
