My baby, Jack, is gone. :(

He got very sick so fast. Tried 2 blood transfusions, and It didn't work. It was so heartbreaking to watch him decline right before my eyes. Yesterday at 6:33 pm, I let him go, and he slipped away in my arms surrounded by his family and more love than any heart could ever hold. I am taking him to be cremated today. I am devastated.
I have a half full bottle of PZI, syringes, a Relion meter with over 50 strips, ketone strips, food syringes, and some DM wet and science diet prescription food that I'd like to donate, preferably to someone who may not be able to afford them otherwise.
I let Venita Wood know at DCIN, and I'm waiting to hear back from her. If anyone knows anyone in need, please let me know
Thank you for all your help with my boy. I am so grateful for this resource and for all you kind souls that took time out of your own busy lives to help us.

Oh Laura, I am so sorry you have lost your sweet Jack. I hope you can remember what joy you gave him - delicious food and snacks, a warm home filled with love, hugs and scratches. And most of all, a mom who was willing to do everything she could to help him when he got sick.

I'm sure Jack knew he was greatly loved.
And I hope that, in a little while, the fond memories you have of Jack will make you smile and will help to lighten your sadness.

I'm SO SO sorry it was Jack's time to cross but what am amazing life you shared together. Remember, he's not gone - you just have to hug him differently. He's just waiting for your heart to settle down enough for you to recognize him.
