I just want to thank everyone for all their advise. I was not on this site for very long, but you were all very helpful when my Powder became diabetic in January. I had to let him go today. He had cancer everywhwere. He was not doing well. I am devastated. I hope it gets easier because it really hurts right now.

i am so sorry to hear about powder i can tell you from just letting my patches go in march this year it DOES get easier

sorry again for your loss

I'm saddened to hear about Powder. I'm sure a sweeter cat never lived. Right now it's tough as can be, but eventually the pain is replaced with sweet memories of him.

I am so sorry for your loss... I feel so terrible for the pain and devastation I know you are feeling right now. As others have said, you took his pain onto your own shoulders, which is the most loving and selfless thing you could have done for him. The pain does fade over time, but you will always remember your beautiful Powder.

I am so sorry for your loss. Helping Powder to cross the Bridge was the most selfless and loving thing you could do. He will never be truly gone -- he will be in your heart forever.

Fly free little one and land softly.

I'm tearing up over here. I'm so sorry for your loss.

At least he is no longer in pain and running around with all the other kitties in heaven. You were the best momma possible for him and I KNOW hes so grateful having you in his life. And even though it hurts a lot right now, I'm sure he's so happy to have been in your life and you in his. :YMHUG:

Hi Caryn -

It seems like we've had an awful lot of losses on the board this past few weeks... but each kitty was the center of their person's universe, and vice versa. Powder will live on in your heart and your memories, and likely in photos you've taken along the way. May the love you feel, and the memories you hold dear to your heart, comfort you in these difficult days ahead, and may you find peace in knowing that there is no more pain - Powder is whole again.

Peace,
Lu-Ann

Thank you everyone for all your kind words in the passing of my Powder. I am very grateful to have found this site. You are all very special people and we all have a common bond....we all love our babies!!! For all that have lost a beloved kittie, my heart goes out to you.

I'm sorry that you've lost Powder, Caryn. He knows how hard you tried, and how much you loved him.

A Fragile Circle

"We who choose to surround ourselves with lives
even more temporary than our own,
live within a fragile circle, easily and often breached.
Unable to accept its awful gaps, we still would live no other way.
We cherish memory as the only certain immortality,
never fully understanding the necessary plan."

-- Irving Townsend

Oh Caryn, I'm so sorry. I was thinking about you just a couple days ago and wondering how Powder was doing with his diabetes.
Powder was so lucky to have a mom who loved him so much.
Hugs.

(((Caryn))) I am so sorry. Fly free Powder rb_icon

It seems many sweet kitties were called home on Tuesday.... my Jeddie among them, and also from cancer. I know you did all your could and in the end all we could do was stop their suffering and set them free.

I'm sorry, I can't tell you when it gets easy as I am not there yet either, but I know it does. I am trying to get past the last awful months and into celebrating the time we shared. It just take time. We are here for you.

(((hugs)))

Sheila
