Hi, cat friends!

This is a sleepless night for me.
I registered in this forum 7 years ago, when my cat first got diabetes.

Marchello has been OK on Lantus morning and evening doses. And I am planning to celebrate his 12th birthday next week.

Today I took him to the vets, because he has started to vomit a lot (2nd day) and now I have to wait for results till tomorrow evening. His appetite is not very good.

Maybe anyone here with similar situation...

Good health to all your kitties here. :)

Does his breath smell like urine?
Is he dehydrated?
See my signature link Secondary Monitoring Tools for some other assessments you can make to evaluate him.
Have you tried 1/4 tablet of plain Pepcid AC to see if it helps?
Is he getting too hungry?

He is not hungry. We did not give him insulin evening dose.
At the vets he received some injections for vomiting, too much stomack acid and vitamin B.

Yes, but I am not able to show you any recent spreadsheet as I am not making it anymore.
Marchello lives with my mother, I have moved away in the recent years. But he is still my number one cat in the entire world. And I buy and provide him everything.

Before the evening dose his BG was 63 and as he ate just a little and we didn't know, if he would vomit more, we did not give any insulin.
At the vets his BG was 93 and in the morning (yesterday) 234.

Is it possible he went too low on the insulin and that caused the vomiting?

The vet today told that it might have been due to build-up of fur balls inside his stomach.
