Okay since I started her on her new pen of insulin I had her on .25u, and her numbers were very stable but still in the 200s, so I bumped her up to .4u and she has started bouncing all over the place again. So obviously up was the wrong was to go. As she is now hitting pinks. And actually her best numbers where on the day I actually forgot to shoot her. So would it be logical to take her back down to the .25u until she clears these bounces, then go lower on her dose? Or go back up but only to .3
I have to admit right now I'm about ready to take her completely off insulin for a few day while testing her for ketones and see I can't just bring her numbers down with diet alone. That she might be so insulin sensitive that even a tiny bit causes her to dump sugar and thus the numbers. I frankly just don't know she definitely doesn't respond how I think she should. If I raise her dose her numbers go up in corresponding amounts to the amount of the rise.
