After a couple months of struggling to find a dose that works for Ms. Musette I think if I haven't found it..I'm really really close. :-D Looks like 1.25u is making her a happy kitty and she is deciding to surf the blues today. Although time will tell I've thought I was close a couple times before and then her numbers would start creaping up again. It also seems that she is much happier on Special Kitty vs. Friskies, as her higher numbers have been on Friskies and now that Wal-mart has Special Kitty back again her numbers are dropping and she is more steady. So I'm going to assume that she is very sensitive to grains, as that is the only real difference I can see between the two, Friskies has wheat flour in it, and Special Kitty doesn't, (Which is fine because Onyx is very allergic to all grains).

Ms Musette, THAT's the way to keep your mommy happy. Miss Molly's fashion column for today says blues and greens are a hot ticket for one with your tortie coloring - they bring out your eyes.

The first half of the AM curve looks very close to an ideal Lev dose, slight rise after shot and beginning to go down at +6. Wonder what the second half will look like... nailbite_smile

Well if it looks like yesterday's it will entail momma saying "Okay stop dropping now!" at +9....lol Only problem with yesterday's #s is someone forgot to tell Ms. Musette that she is on Lantus and not Levermir....she seems to believe that if she is going to drop at all her nadir has to be at +9/+10, instead of +6/+7 where it should be on Levermir. Oh well, whatever floats her boat, as long as she quits going down when she hits the 40s...lol.

Although I have learned that she can go as low as 40 and still not be headed for hypo although I nearly hyperventilate when she does those low dips.

Poor girl, she is one confused kitty. But not as confused as this bean who forgot that Musette is on Lantus. But with her +9 it's shaping up to be a lovely blue surf. Ride the wave baby!

I'm envious of her ability to surf the lows without hypo. Harley breaks into my upper cupboard and dumps bags of dry food on the floor when he goes below 70. He is very sensitive to the feeling of falling BGs. Makes trying to regulate him very challenging. :YMSIGH:

lol Well it might help with Musette that there is no dry food in the house for her to get into, even the drooler is on canned dog food, since it is the only thing I have found for him that doesn't have him trying to chew his front legs off, so we are guessing that he is also allergic to grain. So with two diabetics, one civie that can't have grain and now we believe the dog is also allergic to the dry stuff what we had went to the local shelter about a year ago when Maxwell went OTJ. Tried to bring it back briefly for the civies and they just stared at me like I had 3 heads..lol. So no dry in the house and Ms. Musette for all her other talents hasn't figured out how to open the cans of gravy food that I keep to break out in case of emergency.

And I keep the other carb-heavy stuff in the freezer (bread, pasta, rice etc) so it is pretty much a carb free kitty zone. Now if she will just keep this trend for blue I'll be happy for awhile before trying to talk her into green...Blue looks lovely with her eyes, but green really is my favorite color..lol.

Hehehe, let's make a deal: My little angel Molly could whisper sweet OTJs into Musette's right ear and arch-angel Harley will give her tips on how to open doors, cupboards, cans, bags, etc. without the benefit of an opposable thumb into her other ear.

Curious to see that PMPS tonight...I feel like we're playing a hand of Uno. What color will the card be when you turn it over? C'mon Musette, give Momma a green "Skip."

LOL Oh she already has a brother Patches giving her tips on how to open every door known to man ( Which is why carbs are in the freezer...lol), and I keep hoping Maxwell is whispering OTJ thoughts in her ear....

The color for this evening....Yellow ....sigh. pmps 258 Oh well at least her 14 day average just keeps getting lower she is averaging 201 right now. And tonight wasn't that high into the 200s, so maybe we can get a nice blue day again tomorrow, and perhaps even tip her little toes back to green again.
