Murphy update

Colin is very handsome - his avatar doesn't do him justice. Cara - love the chopped liver analogy. I put the fresh liver in the freezer - I am assuming it will be fine if I ever need to make the shakes?
Sue, I've mostly been giving Murphy between 3 and 3.5 units - both are clearly too little (I still use the U-40 syringes) I gave him 3.5 this evening, and if he is still in the pinks/reds was even thinking of 3.75 in the am. Do you think that is too high? It's amazing how, without the Young Again and wet food, his sugars and insulin requirements are going up. Funny too how he didn't require this much when he was first diagnosed - I've never given more than 3 before a few days ago.

Hi Sharon - yes, he ate all his Evo (wouldn't touch the YA - darn it) and the tiny bit of tikicat chicken and NV rabbit I gave him - this was a good day for him - I am trying to decide whether to give him another dose antiemetic before I go to bed - I hate to do it if he doesn't need it, but I don't want to lose momentum of him not eating.

I'm glad he ate something and had a good day! If it won't hurt to give the antiemetic, I'd probably do it. I know it's easier to prevent something than to fix it after it starts!
