Well, this is good news. No insulin -- tomorrow it will be 12 days, and no sugar in her urine. But, we have a constipation problem. My vet suggested that I give her a 1/4 cup of Hill's R/D because it has 16% fiber in the dry, so she has been getting 1/4 around lunch time. Her BG does go up, but it isn't a spike like with the other dry foods. We just don't want to beat her up with more and more injections, pills, etc., so we're giving her a break. And, she is so enjoying just eating her little kibbles. She eats them very slowly like it's her last meal, which is a good sign also that she isn't trying to gorge herself. Otherwise, this is terrific news for her. She actually seems to feel better.
I am considering Transfer Factor that Venita suggested. I spoke to them yesterday and we may look at giving the stress formula for Murphy since she's been so sick. I cannot do anything with this yet, b/c her vet needs to review what the probiotics are, and how it might interfere with the panakare plus.
