Murphy has been doing terrific. This a.m., however, 10 minutes after eating, OMG, she vomited so much, her entire meal. So, I waited until she calmed down, gave her the anti-nausea medication from her vet, and fed her about one-half can of food again, since she had vomited everything up. I think I did the right thing. If not, someone please let me know. Just took her BG and it was like 132 or something, so far, so good. Is there anything I need to pay attention to today in this case, other than the ordinary? She's sleeping right now, but what a mess. First time she's vomited like that every!

If she ate again and kept it down, I'd be encouraged. Her BG is good. Hang in there! You posted this same posting 4 times. You must have been frantic. Be calm..................om................om..................

No, actually I was fairly calm, but she puked so much -- it was projectile! I think what happened is my internet server froze up and that's why it went through four times. I fed her again about 10 minutes after because I wanted to give her the anti-nausea meds. Then, fed her again, and she's been fine, although I just gave her a little wet a few minutes ago - she seemed hungry, so I think that's okay, and fluids. So far, she's acting fine. Now, I have to clean the carpet and the wall!!! Yes, her numbers are really good I think. She's as perfect as she can get so far. She's truly come a long way. Now, we are figuring out what to do with her paws. Instead of B12 methyl injections, my vet researched and she said that the molecules break down as soon as you open the vial, so we are switching to MSM, glucosamine and chondroitin to see if that helps ease her pain at all. If it doesn't work after 6 weeks, we may need to do an x-ray. She may have developed some arthritis.

So far, today, she's stable.

You are generally doing good with Murphy so don't panic or get discouraged. My cat will occasionally vomit everything up if he eats too fast. He also tends to get skin infections. Seems like one heals and another pops up. Even when we do everything we can complications may still happen. Hope Muirphy has a good night and is back to doing her kitty dance soon. :-)
