Well, last night 3 hours after dinner, Murphy went down to 259. So, hopefully this weekend, I can do a few tests throughout the day to see how low she gets and for how long. We guess that b/c she is hyper-g, she would at least go into the high 100s, which for her would be terrific news. Guess this takes time getting used to. I can tell when it's wearing off because she gets a little ravenous in the morning around 5:00 a.m., still, but we aren't changing anything right now, still 2 unts lantus a.m. and p.m.
I can even see that maybe the hock in her back paws is a little less prominent. But, the d. cati mite and MRSA appears to be coming back on her little nose, which worries me. She cannot get rid of this stuff! Cornell is stil doing research on d. cati and the effects it has on secondary infections and my vet and I are scheduled to consult with their research team next week to figure out why this keeps coming about and the mite lays dormant that rears its ugly head!!!
All in all, she is doing better.
