Hi all. Just wanted to touch base. Murphy has been 9 days now w/out the need for Lantus. I am hoping that her production of her own insulin continues and it's not just a honeymoon. It does appear though that she does have iatrogenic Cushing's, so these are very dangerous waters right now. We have to gradually lower her inhaled meds, without pushing her into Addison's, which could take at least one year just to be cautious. Now, we have an issue of constipation. So, if anyone has any ideas on how I can add just a teeny bit of a high fiber wet food to her diet, I would appreciate your input.

Otherwise, we are doing well.

Mirilax and pure pumpkin pure (canned - not pie filling though). And check the fiber source of the canned food. Maverick got constipated on canned - even cisapride wouldn't help. We had to give Maverick some kibble with his old fiber source (beat pulp) to help get him regular and then his diabetes came back.
