Hello all, long time. I hope all of you and your babies are well. I've been watching my little girl since I arrived back home from the nursing home for 2 months with the fractured ankles, and in 95% respects, she is doing so well. Actually, a few nights ago, I noticed that I was able to give her a little more wet food than before -- as she would not even touch it. She actually ate her entire meal last night and the night before.

She's lost a little bit of weight, not much, but is a sleepy little thing. Yet, at night, she is up prowling with her little crocheted catnip toys, just howling away like a little lion. She goes on and on like she has imaginary friends, too and it's hilarious! But, I noticed that when I try to pet her on the back end, she starts to growl and has actually tried to bite me!

I decided that I would check her BG this a.m. prior to eating, and it was 88. Just about 1/2 hour ago, it was 75. I have a OTU meter, and I'm not sure if the OTU meter is lower than the vet's glucose meters or not. I know when she was in for her curves a few times, it seemed that she would be more accurate on the high sided numbers.

Otherwise, she shows no signs of hypo, although I'm not familiar with this end of diabetes. She is going on 13 and I know kitties age, and their eating habits change, but of course, this is the little bubble baby, so there's always a concern for her.

Any information you all have would be greatly appreciated. I hope you are all doing very well.
