I leave 3 oz fancy feast classic from the morning. He never finishes the whole thing, so I wet it down & leave it out.
And he also has the Young Again Zero carb kibble to gnosh on.
When he's hungry, he'll finish the ff classic after I get home & "tell" me it's time for another can...
