Hi there,
am posting here because this is where I was last. Sorry if its the wrong place. I wanted to reach Djamila and Rachel and the other wonderful 'cat ladies' who helped me so much.

Mouse went into remission fully, he was free of diabetes for 3 months, his numbers always normal. But he had another health issue, and I am deeply sad to say that a week ago Mouse passed away. He was 16 and a half.

He was the best friend i have ever had.

Forgive me for not being on the forum for so long and not letting you know that he was in remission. I was nursing him intensively and trying to cure him of the unknown illness that was causing fluid in his lungs.

Thank you so much for all the kindness and care and help I was given here when Mouse had diabetes. I'll never forget that, and I will make a donation to this amazing site.

Oh Lila, I am so very sorry to hear this. It's so hard when we have to say goodbye to our babies. You were such a great mom to Mouse and took wonderful care of him...a few months of remission is a beautiful gift to give Mouse...I'm glad you both got that.

Thank you for letting us know. I know it can be hard to be here after losing a kitty. Fly free, sweet Mouse! Land softly.
 
Oh Lila, thank you so much for stopping by and giving us an update, although I'm so sad for you that it was time for Mouse to cross the bridge. Sending you love and sweet memories. Your little Mouse will always watch over you. cat_wings>o
 
Hi Lila, I am so sorry to hear about Mouse. But how incredibly wonderful it must have been for him to be in remission and you must have worked hard and lovingly to give him that. I didn’t know Mouse because I just joined the forum actively a few weeks ago but I hope you’re doing well and just wanted to say some words. Take care, Lila :bighug::rb_icon:

I had no idea until I lost Mouse, that people's kindness and loving wishes would be so precious and needed and give so much comfort. Thank you so much for helping to ease the pain of aloneness and the void of losing my dearest Mouse.

We're ALWAYS here for you Lila. If you want to remember Mouse, share good thoughts, cry on a shoulder, or whatever. When you take care of a sick kitty, you develop an even deeper bond than you already had. Losing those sweet babies is the hardest thing we ever do, but it's also the final gift we can give them, to let them go free of pain. It took awhile, but memories of my sweet Gypsy now bring me smiles and joy instead of sadness.

Your sweet angel Mouse will be with you always, watching over you. And we're here if you need us. :bighug::bighug:
 
Rachel bless you, what you said means so much to me. And the hope and comfort at hearing how memories of Gypsy now give you joy. People have been saying to me "It will get better" and it just seemed meaningless to me, but now thanks to you I understand it better.
 
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. This forum has sure had way too much grief lately.
