Hi Tiffy passed. I really feel Diabetics need fluids to hydrate them due to the chronic dehydration they suffer. I relooked over Tiffy's chart from the pull from ACC. She had High kidney values when pulled and they leveled off to being good, but feel she was failed in 2013 and that was the cause of the diabetes. I think she needed fluids and kidney formula since the pull in retrospect looking back. when is that good, but i would have and should have tweaked the insulin should i have known this. I am so sick over this. she had also a high neutrophil count since the pull which i didn't know, and am not sure what it is. she gave her an echo, but not a sonogram of organs. she was a very expensive pull. i suspect either neuphritis (chronic). she was a beautiful cat. she will most definitely completely missed. I SUFFER. I feel like something more could have been done.

broaching with vet when i see him very mildly. she was very difficult to diagnosis as there was no history. she could have eaten a bad rodent.

what a beautiful animal. will love her and you guys forever in my heart. oh boy, when God wants something, he takes them

I am so very sorry for your loss. Please try not to beat yourself up over this, as sometimes these things happen so quickly despite our best efforts.
I can tell by how much your heart is broken that you were a marvelous cat-mom to Tiffy.
Tiffy is flying free on the wings of your love.cat_wings>o

Robin &BB, She had high neutrophils from the day she was pulled with high kidney values that did in fact vary, but Why not treat the kidney with weekly fluids or every 3 days, and a kidney diet and tweak the insulin? Then you can treat the neutrophils unsupported with a heavy antibiotic for 4-6 weeks and metro and or steroids, whichever is first doesn't matter, and if you get results you can do that on and off, and i understand that steroids are not good with cats, but if that doesn't work, sono her, but do the unsupported treatment first as not to get hit with "I don't see anything on sono" because at the end of the game sonos are not always predictive. maybe she had a clogged bile duct.

Theresa, I am so sorry that you lost your sweet, sweet Tiffy. Please don't blame yourself. Look back at Tiffy's life - she was loved, she got wonderful treats and food and pets and scratches - what more could a kitty ask for? It was your job as a Mom to give her a life filled with love and you succeeded!

Hugs, Theresa, across the miles.
