Morning vs evening test results

After our first few days of home testing, it appears that my lovebug is tending to have lower BG readings in the morning than he does in the evening. For instance, last evening Boo was 284, and this morning was 229. I'm testing between 5:30 and 5:45 am and pm. Does this seem normal? The readings thus far are so good I'm not worried about anything, but rather just wondering if others might have noticed a similar trend in their kittehs.

Two possibilities. If he grazes during the day and does't eat much at night, that can make a difference. If he is more or less active during the day/night, that can make a difference.

And don't forgot, one number is just one number. It's trends and patterns you are looking for.

OR the best possibility, the insulin is working well and gradually reducing his numbers. :-D

I would say that's pretty normal. Be sure to check out people's spreadsheets to see other examples. Those numbers are not as drastically different as others I've seen. There us one kitty in pzi who sees 100+ differences am and pm routinely.

Thanks Carl and Sue. Thus far, and I've only been testing since Sunday so it's not a lot of data points yet, the difference has been ~50pts. As I said, it doesn't concern me because he's responding so well and being such a good boy (that's the real shocker - he's the most ornery guy I've ever known most of the time!)

There are so many threads to read and so much information to absorb and try to process. I'm still feeling very overwhelmed so forgive me if I ask questions that have been addressed already!
