I have been putting Gobbles food up 2 hours before his shot then test him right before I give hin his shot. This morning I unknowingly woke up and fed him without seeing what time it is. The problem now is that he has eaten 1 1/4 hour before his shot...so I won't be getting a 2 hour preshot level...I can move his shot time 15 minutes...so his pre-shoy BG will be just 1 1/2 hours...Will his BG level be affected?

If he's safe to shoot (over 200), I wouldn't worry about it. It happens. It may seem really high because it is a food-influenced number.

he was 301 so i shot him! thamks so much

And now you have a comparison referenced for food-influenced, vs 2 hour fasting glucose levels.

By having the 2 hour fast, both the insulin and the food are coming on board at the same time, so they can match up with each other a bit better.
