I think I might be onto something here! I've left it a good number of days, in order not to jinx it, but been doing the sliding scale dosing with Morky since the evening of the 2nd and things have been going really well. He's had a few high ps numbers but I haven't seen a black number if over a week and he's been pretty consistent overall.

I'm really really pleased with how he's doing, the sliding scale seems to have worked for us so far, many thanks to everyone who provided reading material for me! All the best!

Can you get some mid cycle spot checks in the evening cycle, too? I set an alarm and wake up and test and then go right back to sleep. A lot of cats go lower at night time. It would be interesting to see if Morky is going lower then, too.

Those numbers do look so much better!!!
just a couple of suggestions -
As you continue to see yellows and eventually blues you'llof course need to lower the doses accordingly. I would try to add in incrememts of .25 to the scale to "fine tune" it.

Also, I saw a note that you have just started on a new vial of insulin. Sometimes a fresh bottle can seem to act as if it is a little more "potent". Not always, but something to look out for. You may see a liitle more action on the same dose.
Looking good!
Carl

Yup, i should be able to get some later evening ones, I have a couple days off this week where I can sacrifice a bit more sleep!

And cheers Carl! Still tweeking the scale, but I will start adding the quater doses as he starts to come down, it's so nice to see yellows and even pinks in the preshots! Tonight's preshot should show me what the new bottle can do! Roll on yellows!
