I wish I could say that those were his high numbers, but I think he doesn't drop much - until he suddenly drops. Maybe I can get things figured out while I am out of town with no distractions from email and work, etc. Maybe.

I am a little anxious about the drive up with all five in the kitty crate. It worked well for four, just not sure how it will be with five. I thought I could cut a doorway in to the back of it and attached an antechamber for the litter box freeing up another square foot and a half. But I can't get the crate in with the seat folded down... so I gave up and they will just have to manage. Please send calming thoughts their way. We leave Wednesday morning for a 6 hr trip.

Have a good trip Sheila and I am sure they will settle down as the miles go by. Enjoy your vacation. I hope we are able to get updates from you from time to time; otherwise you know, we are just going to worry!

I will try and post a few updates. I am taking my "new" laptop with WiFi capabilities, but have never used that and don't know how/where to hook up to it up there. At least I can get 20 mins of internet time a day at the local library.

20 minutes is like a crash diet - starvation!

Hope you have a good time while you're there. Can't wait to hear how Jeddie enjoys the trip and likes the house! Will he get to go outside?

NO ONE gets to go outside! I have done a few runs into the woods after cats that got out - so, no thank you.

Jeddie did fine in the car, but I was almost there (8 miles to go) when I hear a strange noise and looked back to see Ariel foaming at the mouth. I pulled over and took her out of the crate and looked and felt in her mouth and then tried to rinse her mouth with water, whcih made her start foaming again. I was thinking she ate a bug that bit her or was toxic (yikes) or some litter, but they must eat litter off their feet all the time and I have never seen foaming. Then I thought maybe car-sickness/nausea. Once I got her to the house she was ok. She did start foaming a little more once I started driving again... but was ok and ate dinner that night. Scary.

Beau was the last cat I brought inside and he was growling and hissing at me and everyone else. He is never like this. He was aggressively going after other cats that came near him and me if I tried to pat him. Very odd. He was ok by the following evening. My sister thought that maybe Arial had a seizure that caused the foaming and it disturbed Beau - they can sense that stuff in ways we can't.

And now they all have fleas! Ugh. I am pretty sure that someone before me had a cat and/or dog in the house that had fleas and left them for my crew to "find". I have to buy something like Frontline or Advantage and vacuum the house everyday until I leave. Not happy about this.

Jeddie has been in the upper 200s mostly, but at low 100s one day. He handled the car fine and is fine at the house, but he has been peeing in inappropriate places. It is driving me up the wall, He is such a sweet cat otherwise - perfect, but this is not tolerable. He may end up living in a crate if I can not stop him from this. I usually have two litter boxes up there, but I added two more and he is STILL peeing outside the boxes. Melissa, I put one right next to the front door and he still pees on the door.

Oh, and there is free WiFi at the library so I can bring my laptop and sit as long as I need to. I can also get free access at the McDonalds, I was in the parking lot on Sat, but that was really uncomfortable.

OK - that's it for now. SS is not updated. I will have to do that when I get home I think. (Friday).

I'm sorry about Jeddie's inappropriate peeing. I sympathize - I have 1 cat pooping outside the box again and another peeing in very inappropriate places - like the closet!! Talk about difficult to get out smell.

Jeddie is not doubt stressed because his home has been disrupted, again. I think it was Lynda who recommends prozac after her experiences with Scruffy or maybe it was 1 or 2 others. I'm not going that route, not yet anyway.

Hope you can enjoy your visit, don't blame you about not letting anyone outside.
