ok newbies and everyone eles for that matter.
as i review my cats day...actually what i did was correct! how do you like that?
and i'll explain why.
amps..377 1.5U (higher than usual amps, higher dose)
+2.9...145 fed low carb (some steep drop)
+4.......65 high carb (you must realize this is just 1 hour later, if you see +2 has a 9 after it. tom was still dropping like a rock. this is not a time for more low carb.

so my friends...upon careful review...this is appropriate action. just a little teaspoon full of h/c food when dropping like a rock after trying low carb.

any comments?

i think what you did after the am shot was indeed the right thing to do given the situation. if this were me and i saw that drop and i wasn't feeling good, i would have used a little HC too to stop it or slow it down too. if i weren't sick, i might have used MC or maybe some higher LC at first and seen what happened and went from there but that's all a what if thing because that wasn't the situation today. i might still have had to pull out the HC. as far as the shot itself, i just wouldn't have increased it based on one number. :-) sorry, i know alot of people like to do that but when we did that way back when in the beginning when Dr. Hodgkins was our vet, it kept Mousie on a rollercoaster. in part i think due to constantly changing the dose, my schedule, and not being able to do it TID like her protocl wanted us to.

btw, what was his pmps tonight? did he rebound from that big drop?

yippee! 7:30 and we're going home. finally! :-) been up since 5:03 a.m. this morning :-(

have'nt tested yet. his pmps is 8:00 so i'm waiting eagerly cuase i want to get in bed and watch 'the middle' and just try to sleep off the rest of this nastiness.
poor robin...when i answered the phone she was like, OMG lori is that you?
i keep expectin the voice to pop back any time now.

wow cindy...puttin in them 14 hour days @-) you are still very young!

crap. pmps 242. this is high for tom and i don't believe it's rebound or the food. he had a high pmps last night too.
why can't i ever get sick without him matching me sneeze for sneeze?!!!
don't know what his numbers are about but they are definetly up.
i suppose i learned i cannot shoot the number as i always preach.
altho tonight instead of 1 U i gave a fat U
tomorow if i have a high i suppose i'll shoot his normal 1.2
but please dear god don't let him go to the great red heights!!!
