The weather in the windy city is merely spectacular for December. Feels like a balmy spring rain has just cleansed the atmosphere. Loving El Nino!

Feeling better about the prospects of only crating the girls for the early part of the move in a quieter area off the basement that has a door and lighting and give them music. Then freeing them in their favorite playland/full basement to have easy access to water/litter once the basement is cleared of the few pieces. They will still have a ping pong table to hide under with the noise and I will block our side of the door from any mistaken open. I think they will fair far better.

Today, she was kind to Latte. But, her number was just over 300. No urine on the carpet and all is well. Looking for her to have a good day as we pick up final renovation items for the contractors and I crash today. Lack of sleep is the equivalent of her nastiness with high sugar. We all need some kindness.

Enjoy El Nino!

Sounds like you've got a plan, and it sounds like a good one.:joyful:

I'm just about 2-3 hours away in Kzoo, MI. I left the windows open on the second floor last night...suddenly everything smells clean and new!

Hope Mocha slides down for you today!

It's amazing how nice people are when they are wearing short sleeves and flip flops! Sure beats a winter coat and gloves. You know about our weather as you get it too. Enjoy those windows open, it may not come this way again for many moons. I love the fresh air, driving with windows down. Works for me.

May your sugar baby have a great day also!

El Nino needs to be around every winter! Good luck with the move.
So agree. It makes up for the dream we had to move to Alabama instead of 4 miles from our Illinois home. But, just can't do it with physical issues. Hands are full. I feel like I am in Alabama and it is wonderful. Thanks for the nice wishes for moving. We hope it holds out for moving day in a few weeks.

My FIRST insulin from Mark's in Canada is to arrive tomorrow! There was concern they will not ship below 40 and it was below 40 when I called. So glad to have this short window to get her Lantus pens.

@ColdPlay and @Andy & Pimp Hi, neighbors - I'm in South Bend, IN. We're enjoying the warm weather as well. I think this is the first time since I moved here that I have windows wide open and cats in each window in the middle of December. My Chow-Akita mix is a bit disappointed about the balmy temperatures and the lack of osw, but everyone else is loving it.

Paws crossed for a smooth steady move with not too much stress. I am so happy for you that El Nino is bringing you nice weather to move in! Out here, El Nino means torrents of rain.

Today is day 7 at this dose. Once you've had a chance to settle in and can monitor and do that curve, I suspect you'll find she needs to go back up again. Work the juice Mocha!

Been thru your neck of the woods many times. Yep, it is amazing. The golfers are having a hay day, even with the sprinkles. I just enjoy that they can be golfing.

Yep, I think she is heading to 4 once again. This would be her third time, that is the "charm" right? She is feisty again, just waltzed up and pretended to be loving to Latte with a face sniff (that is the best they can do) and then POW, a hard left and right. She wants food. I know the number is going be high as I will test her again and prep for seeing how she does tomorrow morning and adjust pm dose. Looking to get a good night rest to make up for the few hours I have had for several in a row.....sorry little ears.

So, with the rain, @ least you have clean windows.:joyful:

Wendy and I live in the same weather, even though we're a few hundred miles apart. Solid deluge and flooding for the past couple of weeks. It can leave anytime now.

I just wanted to say that I don't think you need to do a curve. You test more than enough to see clearly what the dose is doing and be able to adjust it. I'd get both preshots tomorrow, two mid-cycle tests when it's convenient for you, and a before bed test. That's enough - give that little girl's ears a break if it's not needed.

Of course at any point if you see her dropping and it looks like she needs to be tested more for safety, that would override my suggestion here.

I appreciate reading that you think I have the volume of data to just do "likewise" and "adjust." I do feel like I know when her nadir usually comes and can come close to it. I just saw my newly opened strip container is nearly empty. Doesn't last long when trying to figure out what is going on with our babies. I have my first ADW strips waiting to be "loaded."

I am thankful that her ears are really healthy looking but I still wish there was another way. I don't even use the Neosporin because it was my issue with no reads for quite awhile, even when only a dab and cotton to remove. It made her ear oily enough to spread the drop and not bead it. ECIS once again. Just glad I figured that one out because it was making me looney.

I am sure the severe rain is not welcome and it can make for gloomy days. May the rain stop and you and Wendy get to enjoy the warmer weather without an umbrella.
