Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum and thought I would do a quick introduction.
I am based in New Zealand and my boy Mo was diagnosed with diabetes on the 21st of September. We started 2 units of Lantus 2x daily for 2 weeks then went up to 3 units. We were feeding him M/D wet and dry food. Since joining this group I have learnt that any dry food is too high in carbs and M/D wet food is still high in carbs, so he is now only on FF pates starting from today (we took him off the dry food last week).
I started testing him at home last Thursday and that has been quite the journey.
A bit about Mo:
He's about 6kg (13lbs) and we adopted him nearly 3 years ago. He is about 10 years old and he looooves his food. He's a ball of love and we want to do everything we can to keep him healthy and happy.
I'm looking forward to talking to all of you
