Decided to test Mittens at +5 and he was at 90 (huge drop for him & taking into account when nadir typically occurs for him), I wasn't too comfortable with that number...so I waited 1 hour (+6) retest to see what would happen from there...it's now at 57 @ +6. He's only been on insulin for 2 weeks, but the data that I've been able to get so far shows a nadir around 7-9 hours. With that being said, should I start treating as hypo now (feed HC food, etc) or hold off and retest in another 30 minutes to an hour?

Maybe i'm just overreacting...

I wouldn't feed him HC yet, but I would start going to half-hour testing. You might even give him a little bit of his regular food (no more than a tablespoon or so) if that would make you feel more comfortable. The ProZinc will most likely start wearing off soon, so you should see him start to naturally come back up in the next hour or two. Right now, these are great numbers to have at nadir.

+6.5=63...looks like he's starting to come back up :-D

Going to test one more time at +7 to make sure-hopefully i'll be able to get some sleep tonight!

Looking good! :thumbup It's always nerve-wracking nailbite_smile when they first start getting into good numbers.
