Miss Kitty went to the vet this afternoon because she hasn't been eating well, and wasn't going to the bathroom. She has a UTI, a low grade fever, and was dehydrated. We've left her alone since we got home (around 6:30), and I just went to check her BG, but she's fighting the ear prick (she's always just laid there and let me do it, so maybe this is a sign she's feeling better and showing me how she really feels about that needle in her ear??? confused_cat ). I'm hoping I'm feeling more stressed out than she is. She still lets me pet her, and she rubs up on our legs and purrs, so I guess we've been forgiven for the trip to the vet. :-D I'm going to go try to get a BG again....wish me luck! :?
 
Did you end up giving her insulin Tuesday night?

Infection is one of the things that drives BG levels up. As she clears the UTI, her BG levels may stay low.

Are you giving her high value treats as part of the testing? Or is she as bad about eating treats as she is cat food?

If she's not eating better tomorrow morning, let me know and I will call the vet for an appetite stimulant.
 
I gave her .25 of Lantus. I was reading and saw that about the infections, so hopefully the medicine will help her out soon. We've tried the treats, but she thought that was just awful as well. I'll be sure to let you know what happens in the morning....hopefully she will have good kitty dreams about eating her food! ;-)
 
I know you have a number from last night and numbers from this morning. Could you update the spreadsheet with those, and the .25U dose last night?
