so I noticed when I was measuring out the 1.25+ fat dose it seemed like I was over pulling medicine but it turns out the caliper wasn’t tightened enough and it slid down a little to 1.32 or 1 unit.. so I was giving her a reduced dose by accident and thankfully I caught it tonight. No wonder she seemed higher in numbers the last couple of cycles; I know she has some numbers in the 70s a couple of cycles ago which I couldn’t imagine would have been low enough to cause a bounce right?

I usually set the caliper, lock it in place and just turn off the screen. I might want to rethink that from now on but I also like that it’s locked in place so just in case if I measure it out and it didn’t calibrate properly when I hit the “zero” button.. I don’t know I don’t always trust electronics.

I use calipers as well and lock it in place but sometimes it sneaks off the locked measurement. I ALWAYS check the calipers - I have a slip of paper in the caliper container that has all of my measurements. I use the syringe lines to draw up an approximate dose and then use the calipers to double check and do fine tuning. Doseage errors are not something that I want to experience!
