? Mimi +2 is 38 - just fed MC- should I go for the HC?

I hope the clear vomit ends up to be nothing and that Mimi slides down safely for you. You might want to ask about it On the main health forum too if you don’t get an answer. Or even call your vet if you’re concerned :)

Well yes she does but my other cat cries at the door when I lock him out so in the middle of the night I’ll let him in, and then I’ll try and wake up again and see if he left to shut the door again. Batman comes and goes from the bedroom but Mimi sleeps next to me all night like a stuffed animal, so I can’t lock her out.
I have a tiny meal that goes off at 6:30 (+9) but it is very possible she didn’t eat it. I think her legs being weak make her a little lazier once she’s in a comfy spot. I’ve even been putting her in the litter box if I see she’s been lounging in the same spot for a long time, and she will actually pee when I do that (at that time I also get a ketone sample- today negative)

She seems fine. I mentioned in the above response that she gets stuck in spots I think because of her legs being weak she won't get up from them for hours. (Like if she’s nestled in just the right spot and it takes some climbing to get out of it- that you know if it was you, you wouldn’t want to leave either). There are some certain spots that I find are her favorite - this box I keep with a blanket because she loves going in there, the top of my storage bag under my bed, and this soft sided cat carrier I have next to the sliding glass doors that both cats love to take turns in. Ill get food ready, Batman runs to the plates, and Mimi doesn't always so I walk up to her and she perks up with her chirpy meowing but also telling me that she's too comfy, so Ive brought the plates over to her and she eats them right up.
Shell have been on Zobeline almost 2 months now, I hope it starts working soon. I know I need to get her BG down too.

I need to find a vet that I like. Its been giving me so much anxiety lately because one that treated her, is nice, but she is all about prescription diets, and also sounds like a walking advertisement for products that pay her- the other one is integrative but I feel like she's somehow robbing me- all these supplements, and she seems a little out of it (like she's half asleep)
Then theres one that did her surgery but he's pretty bold and will tell you that testing is not necessary so I don't even want to bring her back to him because I don't want him to not listen to me. (also his vet tech said to me "well we eat corn too, its fine for them" when I asked him about the Rx diets having corn in them and how that seemed so backwards.)
Most vets kind of suck, and so do most human doctors..

Wow, that is so frustrating, I can’t believe what a hard time you’re having finding a good vet. I really hope you can find one you trust and like soon! It might be worth it to ask if anyone who lives near you might have a recommendation.

I’ve seen some members use different vets for different things: one for run of the mill issues like infections and a separate one that they’ve found for diabetes.

Ok that’s kind of what I do!
 
She was twitching a bit and seemed tired right after before I tested her.
I just realized that my HC has been in the fridge a bit too long. I gave her a pill pocket that has corn syrup in it - I also have actual corn syrup
 
SHARK SWIMMING MIMI GO BACK TO THE SHALLOW END YOU SILLY BABY!!! going to test in 5 - give the food a little bit to kick in. she's chilling her her box- seems relaxed.
 
Please test again in 20 minutes. The syrup will wear off quickly. We want to see her stay up without higher carb intervention for 2 hours. Put the :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: on :)
 
Some LC now is fine maybe 1 tsp, but you want her to continue to stay hungry if you need to intervene again. Remember we want her to stay above 50 now. if she drops again under 50, try to squeeze a little gravy out from some HC food.

I need to get more HC food- I thought I had one more can. Its been so long since she's visited the shark tank that I got cocky and thought she wouldn't need it right away so "Ill just get it next time Im at the store"
currently- mimi is grooming her brother.
 
Try and keep your SS up to date as well, with the additional tests, and % carb fed and when. It will help us now, and you in the future to see what worked. For these tests between hours, stack the numbers like 38 @ +2, 58 @ +2.4
