MIMI 12/8 Increased 1.75 PMPS 196

She does need an increase, Rosa. She doesn’t usually do much on the first cycle of an increase but if you are worried, increase tonight when you are home.

If you want to increase this morning, can you get a +2 to see if she is headed down and you need to leave food out? Then be sure and get a test as soon as you walk in.

I’m going to increase tonight because I couldn’t get a +2
On my way home now- will most likely be at +9 by the time I get home. Very busy day. I’m contemplating doing the Libre...

Food- do you mean her usual raw (which she gets every 2 1/2 hours in the feeder) or higher carb? (Just wondering for future)

If she’s dropping at +2, you want to leave her some carbs.

Those Libre's are very cool! Did you see @For_Luna and her SS with the Libre! Lots of info on there!

If you get it, keep us posted. Good luck with the increase tonight :)

Ya I did read some on it. Thanks

They're great, but not super reliable. We tried 4 times, and the longest we had one last was 11 days. The last one we put on didn't even make it to 3. If you use GoodRx, you can get the sensors for almost half off...at least we did at Walmart pharmacy. And if you have a newer smart phone, you don't need to buy the reader. I think you can check what's compatible on their website.

If you try it, make sure your vet uses extra glue on the back. The sticky pad that comes on it isn't enough. The tech forgot the glue on our last one and that's why it stopped working so soon.

We're giving her a break from it for a couple of weeks, but going to try again right before Christmas since we have an 8 hour road trip with her. And we'll probably just use it for special occasions moving forward.
