I think the 1/2 unit markings on the Ulticare syringes might be slightly off compared to the 1 unit..
Going to try and figure it out more thoroughly later.
I got 1.53 for a 1 unit but now I’m seeing 1.32 which is what someone else said they got.. I think I need to decide exactly where it is the plunger is supposed to line up with because there is a tiny little elevation that I might be measuring from on top of the plunger- it has like 4 little raises dots on top - and this is only something you can see with magnifying glasses. I’ll take a picture to try and explain it better..

so right now I put her back to 1.91 mm which is what she was on before - I believe that is 1.25 but it’s possible it’s off slightly l need to sit down and recalculate again- will do in a bit.

Good luck with the new dose. I hope you get the caliper settings figured out. It's just important that you are consistent with what you measure, not that you what others do.

Ketones are 0.4. Those few days she was in the greens and blues a lot it read low on the meter- and no trace on the stix-usually she gets somewhere between trace and no ketones.

Also, I’m
Going to for sure run out of test strips before my next shipment comes in which - I can’t believe I didn’t calculate that correctly. I have 6 strips left- and the box won’t get here until Thursday.
I do have a Relion meter still but I feel like that will mess it up. Maybe she’ll bounce a little longer and not have an active cycle where I will have to test her every hour

So- I goofed on the dosing configurations for Ulticare.
I got a reading of 1.53 for 1u but someone on here recently said its 1.32 for 1u
I checked about 10 syringes and at times I got 1.53 and other times it looked like 1.32

so what I did was measure 10 units at 1.32 per unit
And 10 for 1.53
I did this because the larger the number the greater the distance. What I discovered was I didn’t even need my magnifying glasses to see a good few unit distance between the two/ so
My conclusion.
Relion and Ulticare actually do have the same readings which is 1.32 for 1 unit on a digital caliper - so initially I was measuring 1.25 correctly.
Now she’s on 1.91 right now which is the 1.25 on my incorrect chart. Looks like she’s closer to 1.5 units for a dose now since it’s 1.98 for 1.5 units.

Still with me? Lol
Mimi’s current dose looks to be more like 1.45 units.
My head hurts.

also still wondering if the shorter needle is affecting the absorption. It doesn’t make sense how it works but since I switched the numbers have been bouncing and staying flat. I feel it pierce through the skin. Maybe it’s just a coincidence or maybe she dropped too low a few cycles ago and she’s still clearing a bounce.
