What a difference 24 hours make! Milo was on Vetsulin for 3 days and numbers never below 260s. High yesterday afternoon 370 at +8.
Vet had gotten prozinc in that they were out of Wednesday when our adventure started. First Prozinc shot at 6pm yesterday. +5.5 253. This AN preshot 333. Just did +5.5 and we were 193!

I can tell he feels so much better. He ate and had shot between 530 and 6 this morning.
I went back to bed and he was waiting for me when I came downstairs. You can just see he feels better.
Yes we have a ways to go.

Re: Milo update

That's great!

Can we get you started using our grid to record your glucose tests? It will help us give you better feedback. Instructions are here.

Understanding the spreadsheet/grid:

The colored headings at the top are the ranges of glucose values. They are color-coded to clue you in as to meaning.

Each day is 1 row. Each column stores different data for the day.

From left to right, you enter
the Date in the first column
the AMPS (morning pre-shot test) in the 2nd column
the Units given (turquoise column)

Then, there are 11 columns labeled +1 through +11
If you test at +5 (5 hours after the shot), you enter the test number in the +5 column
If you test at +7 (7 hours after the shot), you enter the test number in the +7 column
and so on.

Halfway across the page is the column for PMPS (evening pre-shot)
To the right is another turquoise column for Units given at the evening shot.

There is second set of columns labeled +1 through +11
If you snag a before bed test at +3, you enter the test number in the +3 column.

We separate day and night numbers like that because many cats go lower at night.

It is merely a grid for storing the info; no math required.

Re: Milo update

Did spreadsheet and attached to signature. Looks familiar from last time and glad I can pull up for vet on phone when we visit.
Hope things look ok. Will do curve in a few days and continue with 1 unit for the time.
Thanks BJM and everyone

Looks like he has room to go up another 0.25 units in dose, when he pre-shot tests over 300 mg/dL.

It'll help to have a few more details in your signature.

To edit your signature

Go to the top left of the screen.
Click on User Control Panel.
Click on Profile
Click on Edit Signature
A text box displays.
This is where you paste the link for your spreadsheet, once it is set up.
Add any other text, such as
your name, cat's name,
city, state,country
date of Dx (diagnosis)
insulin
meter
any other pertinent issues like if there are any food issues, history of DKA, hepatic lipidosis, pancreatitis, allergies, IBD, etc.
Then Click on Submit to save it.

Will up him at his next shot which is at 6PM. I did add the other information to my signature.
BJM Thank you for being patient with me. Hard to get back on track with this at this time of year but now that SS is done I can update daily.

Well done - and I can see the spreadsheet on my phone, too, which doesn't always happen!
