For those that don't know us, (and judging from all the LL's here that I don't know) - that is probably a lot!!

Milo was dx with Diabetes Aug 08; because we we're unable to regulate him he was tested and confirmed to have Acromegaly in Nov 08. We decided to take him to CSU for the SRS treatment as part of Dr. L's study in Jan 09, at that time he was still unregulated and up to 17u.

Well, although very slowly, (he is very "thick" headed) alot has been happening over the past year. Milo's health has continuously gotten better; we have continued down the dosing scale with only the odd stumble; his GH levels are normal and his IGF-1 has continued to fall. I'm guessing, but by the way he has been feeling and his BG # over the past couple of months, I believe his IGF-1 is now either normal or very close to it. We haven't had it tested since Jan, but plan to very soon.

Which brings us here today. We have just recently switch from Levemir back to Lantus and we are currently at 1.25u. This is TOTALLY new territory for us and I feel we are possibly on our way to *ANTIJINX* OTJ *ANTIJINX* :-D

So, we are dusting the cobwebs out of our old condo and moving back in to LL, to get all the expertice and advice we can

Looking forward to getting to know those of you we don't,

Wendi & Milo the Mighty Hunter

Welcome back Wendi!

I have heard several of the acro moms, and others, make reference to you and Milo -- at least one mentioning his rather thick cranium!!

Let us know how we can help.

Glad to see you Wendi and Milo....there's plenty of room here and we welcome you both with open arms!!
It would be great if Milo could come to our Full Moon Party on Thursday night....it is the full Flower Moon of May and all the kitties grab a ride on a moonbeam and come to Florida for some dancing and lots of giggles! Hope Milo will be able to come!! :YMHUG:
My two just LOVE having parties and they have decorating parties before the big day, so Milo is welcome tonight and whenever...Yay Milo!!!

Hey Milo, Mighty Hunter! WELCOME BACK! (and to you, too, Wendi). We're all going to the party at Shadow's, Raja's and Pat's on Thursday and all us guys are wearing flowers. See you there, OK? I'll be the cook in the chef's hat, so come by and say hi.

Stu

we're so used to seeing the opposite switch, so it'll be neat to see how milo does on lantus now.
hey, great dose for an acrokitty. his response to the radiation treatment has been awe-inspiring. :)

WOW, Wendi.

Look at Milo go. Are he and Lucy going to be neighbors again soon? (anti-jinx)

Those are some pretty fancy numbers Milo

Hi Wendi,

Hi Wendi, was thinking the same thing as Chris it will be interesting to see how Milo does on the Lantus. Glad that he doing so great and I'll be keeping paws crossed here and sending you tons of gum wish's.
Had I known you were opening up I would have sent one of the maids to clear out the cob webs and open the drapes and a window or two. hehehe, cobwebs that cracked me up!
Sandy

Nice to have you back, Wendi. I look forward to hearing about Milo's excursions and what he tries to drag home. And the thick skull thing - Milo, don't let it bother you, it makes you even more special (not to mention famous).

Good luck with the switch to Lantus.

It's really good to see you post and see that Milo is doing so well. Wow - that's quite a dose drop. That's wonderful - hope he continues to do well on Lantus. Will watch for your posts.

Emmy & Dude (& Mittsi too)
