I came across this auto feeder with a difference in a local paper advertising it. Thought it would be a great solution for multiple cat households where the diabetic cat needs to eat but mightn't get the food left out for it.
The feeder works by only opening to a microchip number. So if any other cat approaches the feeder, it will not open. It will only open to the microchipped cat.
If you don't have your cat microchipped you can buy a collar with a chip on it to put on the cat.

Might be why the Amazon vendor is almost double priced., the company sells them for $150 normally.
