"No one has said anything about the walgreens brand meter yet - any meter that has a name like True Track, True Result, True **** tends to be not very accurate. There is usually at least one posting a month around here from someone discovering the inaccuracy of those meters."
We are soooo new to home-testing with Felix...we returned from Walgreens today with the TrueResult and seems to be reading accurately (?) We tested our civie, Jasper, though and he had an alarming BG of 52 !!! and we'd never even thought of testing him for FD!
I read that a lot of you have multiple meters..is that so you can test accuracy? or merely for back up? We liked the pricing of the True Result (free meter kit after rebate) and so far, in our very humble beginnings, the lancing is working.
I plan to retest Jasper in the a.m., as his appetite and attitude doesn't seem to be affected by the pokes. If the BG's come out screwy, I plan a trip to the vet tomorrow to get a baseline and to compare my meter against their AlphaTack.
Thoughts anyone? Thank you again for all your support!
