Meter variations??

I've been using the Accu-check Aviva ,but my friened just gave me a Contour meter with 3 viles of test strips.
Would there be much discrepency in meter readings if I switch to the Contour, and then back to next month?

The general answer is ... probably. and it will be slight in many cases.

The FDA allows glucometers to have an accuracy that is within 20% or the 'true' value and the technology used by a company may vary, the reference norms may vary, and so on.

The glucometers aren't supposed to be exact; they are supposed to clue you in to what action to take.
Whether it reads 300 or HI, you probably need more insulin.
Whether it reads 20 or 30, you probably need more food if the cat is on insulin, and possibly a vet, because that is pretty d*mn low..
Whether it reads 80 or 100, you can be happy that it is a roughly normal glucose level for a healthy cat, so you've got good control.
