Kitties Momma

Hello, I am back. I recently inherited my mom’s diabetic cat. He is 13, been diabetic for 4 years. I got him to the vet last week and his glucose was 258 after his shot. He is getting .2 cc 2x a day. Still drinking water like mad so I know he’s not regulated. I successfully tested my last cat daily, did curves, etc. My new charge Milo is not having it. He’s good about his shots, but won’t let me test him. The vet said they have a wearable meter? Does anyone have experience with this? We can’t get him regulated without numbers and curves. I know that. Mom fed him dry food only. I’ve made diet changes (no more kibble, high protein) I want to do my best to help him. I’m prepared to do what it takes to make him as heathy as I can. Any tips? Thank you !
Note he is on Novulin N which is not the same insulin I used before. What are your opinions on this?
