After about a week of fairly decent (but not great) cycles, Melville is the middle of his second "bad" cycle in a row. I won't retype here what is already in the spreadsheet, but his +6 today is 430. I'm going to test again in 30 minutes to rule out meter error.

I can't think of anything that has changed. If anything, we have become more consistent with feedings. I attributed his string of good numbers to this fact. I know he hasn't snitched. I can rule out fur shots, because I always check for insulin on his fur at the injection site, and it's always dry.

I'm going to call my vet today and see about increasing. What do you folks think?

You have two choices up or down. Mine would be down. Your numbers were pretty good at 1.25 with some greens. Your numbers at 2 units are high and flat with some inverse curves. Did you look at Sev's spreadsheet? He had very similiar curves at higher numbers with a higher dose.

In agreement with a lower dose. Perhaps you can hold it for at least a week to see if Melville will settle into it.

ok so here is my thoughts.
You are shooting the same dose no matter what the preshots are....
so in a high pink you are shooting the same into a low yellow, perhaps causing the high pinks(boing!)
my thinking would be to perhaps reduce to 1.75 on the higher shots
and maybe anthing under 250 shoot lower like perhaps 1.5....
just thinking out loud here!

Hi Eric and Melville!

Wondering how Melville is doing? Has he leveled off or still running high? Wondering if you've experimented with calories, feeding schedule, etc, etc.
Hope he's doing ok.

I tried to look at your SS, but it said I wasn't allowed to...

Anyway, I'm agreeing with Denise. Maybe it would work well to adjust your dose to the preshot number, so you can hopefully get a good nadir each cycle without causing what may be bounces?
