I'm trying not to stick Melville very often, but I might have to do a +1, +2, and +3 tonight. I'm curious as to whether he spikes above 300 and then drops down at +3 and +4, or whether he sustains a BG in the high 200s and then tapers off. Not 100% sure what I would do with this information, though. What do you guys think? Sometimes, too much information can be more harmful than the right information.

Unless he drops into green today, my plan tonight is to shoot just shy of 1.5. I'll be glad to get some U100s so that I can stop guessing.

I'm laying in bed right now with my laptop, and Melville is snuggled up with me. I would like to think it's because he knows we're taking care of him, but it probably has to do with the fact that it's 58 degrees in our house right now! :)

I've always heard that the onset of PZ was at about 2 hours after the shot.

With Harley he rises for the first few hours from food spike, I've also discovered that he eats every hour on the hour most of the morning so his nadir is late, after he stops snacking. I'm looking into setting up a timed feeder to help control the snacking.

Any test you get will help fill in the pieces of the puzzle.

Re: Melville 1/8 AMPS 280, PMPS 406

Well, Melville hit red again: PMPS 406. He'll probably get up to 450 before his insulin kicks in.

As planned, I'm upping the dose tonight to a scant 1.5 (since I can't measure fractions of a unit until I get the U40 syringes). I'll let this fly for another 3 cycles (unless he gets too low), at which time I plan on shifting his shot forward to coincide with his early AM/PM feeding (currently at +10).
