Good morning LL! It's a glorious morning here with the sun shining, the birds singing and the wicked heat and humidity of the past week GONE. :)

Wish I could say Meadow's AMPS was a glorious number, but it was 274. No idea what her overnight levels were, but she was bright eyed and busytailed this morning when the alarm went off. So I tried to get a dose in between a smidgeon above 1 unit and and 1.25 for her morning shot. No small feat that! So we'll see. I'll be out a lot of today so can't do another curve but will do periodic checks. So we'll see how it goes. At this point, I am thinking I might need to bite the bullet with her and keep her on the 1.25 with close monitoring until her liver graduates school. ;)
Right now she is looking out the window and chattering at the birds. :)

Re: Meadow's AMPS 274

great WCR! And this isn't such a bad number to start the day out at ... sunny yellow .. could go to blue skies today .... enjoy the nice weather, we have a nice day ahead of us as well, and then it's right back into the heat and humidity of the summer ... yuck!

Thanks for posting yesterday's condo link, Pat. I don't know why I have a difficult time remembering to do that!

So here we are at +4 and she is only 4 points below her AMPS of 274. A definite difference from yesterday. It's amazing how such a tinsy weensy little amount of insulin can affect the levels so much. I'm wondering if she bounced over night and is just now coming down from it. Is it possible for them to bounce in the 2nd 12 hours after a good first 12 hours? Guess it is. :YMSIGH:

You are experiencing di-bounce! You know.... a bad case of rubber kitty... well not soooo bad.
It's part of liver training school. Rebound can last up to 72 hours but from your last action cycles, I see that Meadow's rebound clears a touch faster.

HI Dottie,
I think Purrcie is doing the same thing. Blue and green numbers during the day then blue and yellow numbers in the evening cycle.
It sure takes some wiggling to get this figured out, if ever!

It looks like a flat yellow cycle so far. In some kitties, a yellow cycle means that they are gearing up for action.

Please keep your dose consistent. One drop can really make a difference. Insulin is powerful stuff!

Just out of curiosity, what do the numbers in brackets on Meadow's SS mean?

So much for flat yellow cycles. She went into the red again....same pattern as always when she has a low number or a fairly good green and yellow day.

Sienne, I checked my SS and compared it to the one that shows up when someone clicks on the link near my signature and it seems to be that the bracketed numbers signify where I made a comment on my SS. I wasn't aware that my comments would not show up to everyone.

Myla, good luck with Purrcy. This up and down is driving me nuts. I think I am better off just not testing in between and only do the AMPS and PMPS test. And her ears definitely need a rest!
