Is there a KISS (Keep It Simple Silly) spreadsheet anywhere ?? I honestly don't understand the spreadsheet that is posted.
Here's what the SS template looks like:
http://docs.google.com/previewtemplate? ... ode=public
The top row with the BG (blood glucose) numbers is the code key. A black cell represents a bg over 500, red is bg between 400 to 499, pink is bg between 300 and 399, etc.
The date column is self explanatory  Each row is one single day.
AMPS is the morning (AM) pre-shot (PS) level. This is the bg number before insulin is given.
PMPS is the same but for the evening (PM) pre-shot level.
U is units of insulin.
The columns labeled as +1, +2, etc you fill out as you test bg levels. So if you test 4 hours after the morning insulin shot and the bg is 333, you would type "333" into the +4 column for that day. The cell will automatically turn pink to correspond with the bg color code key
The remarks column at the end is just notes/comments, like if your cat threw up or if you started a new Lantus pen.
Take a look at other Lantus users' SS to get a general idea of how people are using their SS. There's no right or wrong way  I'd share my SS but it's 4 years of bg data on 3 different insulins across 6 sheets/tabs  It's way to overwhelming for a newbie to even look at.
If you need more help on the SS, you can post in the Tech forum.
Edit:
It looks like there is a US/World SS created by our Ronnie and Luna:
https://docs.google.com/previewtemplate ... ode=public It's different from the original one that is used in the link Gingers Mommy posted above.
There is also this one for diabetic cats creatd by someone who I don't know if he/she is a FDMB member:
https://docs.google.com/previewtemplate ... ode=public
If neither link works, go to
https://docs.google.com/templates?hl=en ... 20template and log in. Ronnie's is "Copy of 12/12 insulin template By Ronnie & Luna" and the other one is "Pat's mmol/L insulin template By Pat Creighton"
Here's what the original US/World SS looks like:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key ... l=en&gid=0 You enter bg data in one of the two sections and I think it will automatically convert on the other section.
