Randi & Max (GA)
Member Since 2009
Hi everyone
I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that 6 months have gone by since
Max had his last insulin shot.
In one more month it would be the 1 year anniversary of his dx and actually
a year ago now is when Max really became sick, starting with fatty liver.
Max is doing well and still has not managed to lose any weight.
I find it very hard to control the feedings with the 4 kitty's in the house.
No matter when someone else wants to eat, Max wanders into the kitchen
to make sure he does not miss any food.
We have had some inappropriate peeing outside the LB every once in a while.
He does it right next to the box. I think he just gets mad that someone else
has used it, (I have 5 in the house all spread out).
Max has adjusted pretty well to Isabelle, my little CH kitten I rescued in July as a result of
a posting on the board. She adores Max and they even play together. There have been
some nice changes to Max since her arrival.
Overall he is sociable and loving and still loves a good lap to sit in,
20 pounds and all.
I know there are many new people now that do not know Max and I. I thought I
would post Max's pre-party condo here for those "newbies" who would like
to know Max's journey and to truly understand what an amazing place LL is.
I firmly believe that Max would not be in this condition today without
the full suppport and devotion of this board. I hope his story will help others.
Big hugs and thank yous to all of our friends here. I miss you all so very much.
