I haven't been on here in a few months. I've been having lots of sleep issues and I've been feeling very guilty for not consistently being able to pick up Max's food two hours before his shot in the morning. Despite that, I had been feeling like Max was doing pretty well....until I went out of town. Things really went sideways. Trying to figure out how my mom broke two meters while I was in the middle on an ocean was a real challenge. Max made it through fine and he and grandma still love each other.

I'm still having a hard time with pulling food in the morning. I'd like to push back the schedule an hour, but that would mean my kiddos wouldn't have their first meal until noon. I don't know if they would be okay with that.

I'm trying to get Max back on track and upped his dosage this morning. I'm hoping I don't have to fight it too much. I'm glad to be back. I think I need the support right now.

The two hour rule applies when you are learning how your cat handles insulin but not a requirement after that. You might find ignoring it cuts into duration and carry over but not necessarily. I’m glad all is well.
