Got 153 then 169 yesterday a.m. So did not shoot. Last night we got 386. Shot usual dose of .75 bc I 4 got to lower it. This a.m. Got174 . Shoot at .5 or wait til 2 night ?

U100 (& U40) refer to the intended insulin concentration. That's why you need a conversion chart to use u100 needles with.u40 prozinc. u40 needles traditionally have a red cap & u100 orange. The color of the other end depends on the brand.
What you really need to look for are needles with half unit markings. If you buy them.at a regular pharmacy they should be u100s but they don't all have the.half units. I buy.mine at walmart; in most states you.don't need a prescription, although they're probably behind.the count er.
