AMPS reading 352. Sticking with 2.5U.
He didn't seem to bounce as high as I thought :cat:. Will get a +3 or +3.5 and, depending on that reading, I will get a +something later.
Have to leave after +3 to help my Mum. :)

Sounds like a good plan to me. I'm glad to see he didn't bounce as high as we feared! That's a pretty good number all things considering. :)

Looks good this morning.

Do you feel better after handling a low number successfully? It seems very scary the first time, but almost always, steering with food solves the issue.

Yes I do Sue! I'm glad to have the experience now :) Looks like new diet is working better for Maury.
+3 reading 121

I have to go for a few hours so I left him a big tablespoon of Friskies pate with an ice cube on top and bowl sitting on an ice pack. He still left less than half an 1/8 cup of his dry, maybe 15 pieces? I think he'll be ok :)

I asked my Mum if we could wait so I could retest after the FF :) I kept in mind his lowest was +5 yesterday. I would still say he's having a good day :cat:

@Sue and Oliver (GA) Just read your postings about certain levels being good for the pancreas to heal, do you think that still counts for Maury's cycle numbers? I know his preshot numbers are not quite there yet but I was wondering if the pancreas is getting any healing time when he's in the blues?

Also, wondering how odd it might be if his PM dose was 0.25U more than his AM?

Not a good day :(. Feel like we started to make progress, then this happens. Wondering if this is because he had his first low numbers at night.

This is why the saying, "It's a marathon, not a sprint." is so popular here. We all have these ups and downs and you'll get him back. One of the best things you can develop when dealing with FD is the ability to look at BG data as just numbers and not something that casts a shadow on your whole day. Easier said than done but it is possible.
