Just wanted to first say thanks for the info and welcome feeling
I travel with work and had 2 cats with me for the past 11 years, where I went so did they. If I could have
had it another way I prob would have, but we all managed as well as we could and my two best friends actually
became accustomed to traveling
6 months ago my life changed drastically when one was diagnosed with feline leukemia, after getting over
the shock I took it on and spent around $2k treating her and she was doing really good.
Unfortunately, while living in an rv park in my fifth wheel in texas, she (miracle) got out one night and
disappeared, it broke my heart but what I found out a month later broke my heart even more...
a family across from me had 3 little spoiled brats living with them and one apparently killed her with a
bow and arrow. How another human being could do this is beyond comprehension, I have had to deal
with anger, sadness, feelings of complete revenge, to letting nature (and her in a place beyond here) dealing
with it, and I also have had to find some way of letting it go to just find a way to move on. She really was
like a kid to me, but knowing that "miracle" didn't have a hurtful part in her (she wouldn't even kill a bug), led me to where I am and forgiveness....
Sorry didn't mean to bring ones day down here, but had to sort of reflect on the past to see where I am going now and with Goldy, my other cat and Miracles soulmate.
Goldy sat for 2 months looking out the window for what I believe was him wondering where she had gone, and
a lot of hugs and (sorry I guess the rest of this got deleted when I first posted)
caring seems to have gotten him a bit healed...(I never thought an animal could miss something until I witnessed him)
However, this seems to have taken a blow to his health at this point, losing weight etc, I had him tested again for felv and aids, to check and it came up negative but that's where I found out
he has diabetes....
I will now continue this over in the health forum...
Again thanks to all here for helping cats they really are wonderful creatures on this earth....
